The facts are catching up to him

Nearly two years into Donald Trump's presidency, the facts are catching up to him.

This week, Donald Trump's lawyer and "fixer," Michael Cohen, told a court that when he'd violated campaign finance laws in the fall of 2016, he was acting on orders from Trump himself, with the purpose of influencing the outcome of the election.

Just a few minutes later, Trump's campaign manager, Paul Manafort, was found guilty on 8 counts of fraud.

And a couple of hours after that, Rep. Duncan Hunter of California, one of Trump's most loyal foot soldiers, was indicted for embezzling more than $250,000 from his own campaign.

None of this surprised anyone, except Donald Trump, who continues to believe that our laws don't apply to him or his friends.

The depth and breadth of corruption in Trump's circle is staggering, yet Congressional Republicans continue to stonewall any attempt to bring them to justice. In their refusal to do their job, Republicans in Congress have made it very clear that they're choosing party over country.

Let's be clear: the only person who benefits from a refusal to investigate a crime, is the criminal. The rest of us lose.

And that's why it's crucial that we take back Congress this fall. Please chip in $3 now to keep building the movement to restore accountability to our government.
